Podcast Cover Art Specs

A good podcast cover attracts potential listeners and promotes brand recognition and brand recall. Your cover is the first thing people see when they browse through directories — and first impressions matter. Visually appealing cover art helps your podcast stand out, making you appear more credible and professional.

In this guide, we share with you the specifications and guidelines our team follows to make sure we create a cover art perfect for your show and aligned with your brand. You will also see samples of artworks that follow our standards and those that don’t.

Rise25’s suggested specifications for podcast artwork:

The Rise25 team follows these guidelines when creating artwork for your shows:

  3. The name of the host or the official sponsor is at the bottom section of the artwork
  4. Follows branding color based on your website
  5. Includes any photos or elements you requested based on your submitted form in the podcast kickstart survey
  6. Not using curvy or slanted text for the font color
  7. All text on the artwork is clearly visible
  8. Clean design throughout artwork — use a solid-colored bar at the bottom of the artwork for contrast to showcase the host’s name
  9. Avoid overcomplicated or extremely busy backdrops
  10. No portion of the guest’s face or the show title is cut off

NOTE: The artwork will be small and should be easily visible even when using your mobile phone
