Free Assessment Offer in the Post Interview — Phone Script Included

After the interview is over, if the guest is a good prospective client for you and you think they could benefit from what you offer, use this strategy to convert them into a free assessment, analysis, free coaching session, or consulting session to demonstrate what you do.

Watch the video of John Corcoran explaining this strategy.

Before the interview, you should have asked your guest when their “hard stop” is so you can be sure to end the interview with at least 10-15 minutes remaining. This allotted time is meant to be used for continuing the conversation about possible collaborations.

During the interview, you should have asked your guest about what challenges they are experiencing so you can tailor your offer.

Sample Script:

“By the way, I don’t know if this is of interest, but as a thank you for being a part of this podcast series, we have been offering to do a free Amazon ad campaign assessment. This is something that we usually only do for our high-level clients, but seeing how you mentioned during the interview that you are working on improving your ads’ effectiveness in the new year, we’d be happy to do it for you.

A lot of the clients we work with don’t realize how they are leaving money on the table when they run their Amazon ads and often we can pinpoint a few ways they can optimize their ads and make them 5 or 10 times more effective. So, happy to do that for you as a thank you for being a guest. Is that something you would be interested in?

If they say YES, we recommend nailing down a time.

Sample Script:

“Great, I’d be happy to get that locked in for you – does Tuesday at 3pm EST work?”
