Reach Out to All People or Resources Mentioned on the Podcast either Right After the Interview or After the Interview Goes Live

What is the difference between reaching out to people and resources right after an interview and after the interview goes live? Why is doing this necessary?

When you reach out immediately following an interview, informing the individual before it goes live allows them to anticipate it. Reaching out after the episode is live and including a direct link to the episode gives them easy access to the content you’ve produced.

Reaching out to the people and companies mentioned by the host or guest provides an avenue for relationship-building.

1. Reaching out right after an interview.

Make a list of all the people, businesses, and resources mentioned in each episode and send a “Thank-you” email informing them their name was mentioned during the show. You can also send the individuals and entities mentioned a message via LinkedIn informing them of the episode.

2. Reaching out after an interview goes live.

After each episode goes live, reach out to the individuals and entities mentioned in the episode informing them they can now listen to the podcast episode. Be sure to include the direct link to the episode for easy access to your content.
