“Interview Series” Email
Note:
Rather than “nicheing” your podcast too far, we recommend you do “Interview series” where you can highlight/focus on a series of types of guest, i.e. ‘Top investor series” or “Top Ecommerce Founder series”. This works quite effectively because everyone wants to be considered part of the “top” of their industry. Also you can go to your college and do a series in the school that makes sense – EX: Top Wisconsin Entrepreneur Series and ask the Business School to refer you to the top people that came out of that school.
Key Points
1.Make sure to specifically list your criteria of who you want to feature (ex: “I am looking for B2B software companies that have over 200 staff.”)
2.Be sure to include social proof elements (i.e. great guests you have had on, your years of experience in the industry, respected companies you have done work for, etc.)
3.Make sure you share any affinity you have with this group
4. If reaching out to a University email the career services and a few others at the College to get suggestions as well as head of the department and people on the Board of that Dept.
